Tenn. Baptists voice support for abortion amendment

The state's largest group of Protestants is expressing its support for an abortion amendment set to go before Tennessee voters next year.

Amendment One adds language to the state's constitution saying in part, "Nothing in this Constitution secures or protects a right to abortion or requires the funding of an abortion." It could pave the way for lawmakers to pass abortion restrictions currently prevented by the state constitution's privacy protections.

Alexander got his first library card at age three. A year later, he started taking piano lessons at Maryville College. He practiced every morning before school after his paper deliveries.

You can register to vote now thru Monday, October 8.

If you are not registered by Oct. 8 you will not be able to vote for the Presidential and State General Election scheduled for November 6.

Early Voting starts Octoctober 17 and ends November 1.

The city of Norris is a little bit bigger after a vote by city council.

Sunday night we told you about John Alvis and his business Sleepy Eyed Johns, which sits on Highway 61 in the community of Bethel in Anderson County.

Monday evening, the Norris City Council voted four to one to annex his property and a veterinarian's office right next door.
