College student from Oak Ridge hit, killed by car in Pa.

(WBIR) An Oak Ridge college student was hit and killed by a car Thursday night while at school in Meadville, Pennsylvania. 

Hannah Morris, 20, was in her junior year studying neuroscience at Allegheny College, according to Fox affiliate WJET-TV.

Police said the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Morris was struck by a car driven by Jeffrey Freeman, 35, of Meadville.

WJET-TV reports that emergency crews took Morris to the hospital, where she later died. 

Allegheny College Vice President Sue Stuebner described Morris as being very involved in campus. 

Pennsylvania state troopers are assisting Meadville police to determine if any charges are warranted.
