Local officer awarded after saving woman's life in fire

(WBIR-Oak Ridge) An Oak Ridge police officer's courageous act this year is earning him accolades.
Officer Nathan Stinnett was awarded the Lifesaving Award at the 2015 Police Memorial after rescuing a woman earlier this year. Stinnett saved the woman's life after rushing into her burning home, which had been engulfed by 10-foot flames, according to the Oak Ridge department.
This is Stinnett's second time receiving the Lifesaving Award. Stinnett has been with the Oak Ridge Police Department since 2012.
