Oak Ridge police search for attempted first degree murder suspect

Oak Ridge police are searching for a man wanted on attempted first-degree murder charges.

According to a police department release, Asante Harris, 33, of Oak Ridge is considered armed and dangerous.

Police said based on evidence at the crime scene, Harris fired several shots at a person on the 200 block of S. Dillard Avenue shortly before 9:45 a.m. Monday.

Officials have issued three felony warrants against Harris on attempted first degree murder, felony reckless endangerment and felony vandalism charges.

Oak Ridge police said they're continuing to investigate the incident and won't release additional details at this time.
