News

(WBIR - Anderson County) An Anderson County man faces charges after authorities said he burglarized a home and stole a tow truck Friday.

A Marlow woman called the Anderson County Sheriff's Department at 8:30 a.m. and told officers her home's security cameras caught a man, later identified as 27-year-old

John Joseph Pixley II, pulling into her driveway and walking around inside. ACSD said after the woman made the call, she and a coworker left work to confront the Pixley II.

When she got back home, the sheriff's department said she found Pixley's pickup truck filled with her property and blocked off the driveway to try to stop Pixley from leaving. Instead, officers said Pixley tried to drive around the car, hit an embankment and overturned.

ACSD said Pixley punched out his car window, mugged the woman's coworker, and stole the coworker's tow truck, all before deputies got to the scene.

After getting a description of Pixley II and the stolen tow truck, Oliver Springs police officers pulled him over and arrested him.

Pixley II is charged with both burglary and aggravated burglary, theft of property, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of aggravated assault and carjacking. He is being held in the Anderson County Jail without bond.
