Anderson Co. community addresses homelessness
News

Several groups from Anderson County met Tuesday in Oak Ridge to discuss and address the problem of homelessness in the community.

Homeless outreach groups found a gap in the Anderson County area for homeless who aren't veterans or disabled.

"Really where we are as a community is there are limited resources for the homeless. And so it's very hard to break that cycle of homelessness, because there are very limited resources," said Zabrina Minor.

Community worked on starting a "homelessness action plan" to address the growing problem in Anderson County.

Minor says it's important to connect the homeless with resources to help them become more self-sufficient.
