Erin Corwin's family to hold candlelight vigil tonight
News

The family of Erin Corwin has organized a candlelight vigil in her honor on Friday night.

The vigil will be held at the East Tennessee Riding Club at 470 Tuskegee Drive in Oak Ridge. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Corwin, 19, was a Marine wife who vanished on June 28 after she left her home in California. Seven weeks after her disappearance, a cave rescue team found her body in an unmapped gold mine in the desert in California.

A former Marine is accused of killing Corwin and disposing her body in the mine. Christopher Brandon Lee has been charged with first-degree murder, but could face an additional murder charge if an autopsy confirms that Erin was pregnant at the time of her death, according to The Desert Sun. Lee and the Corwins were neighbors at an apartment building on the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms.
