News

An Anderson County sheriff's deputy was arrested early Friday morning for driving under the influence.

A police officer found Roger Day and another passenger with a motorcycle that had fallen over. Police say that Day smelled like alcohol.

Police performed several sobriety tests, but Day eventually refused any more and was arrested. He is out on $1,500 bond.

Day has worked with the sheriff's office since 2002, and is on unpaid administrative leave while the department investigates.
