Man arrested after 14 one-pot meth labs found in home

Anderson County authorities arrested a man after they say they found more than a dozen meth pots in his home.

Deputies arrested Joshua Ridenour at his Andersonville home Monday while serving warrants.

As they took him into custody, the officers noticed equipment used to make meth. They eventually found 14 one-pot bottles at his home, including two active pots making meth.

Anderson County deputies are looking for a man who broke into a woman's home and tied her up at gunpoint.

It happened around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon at a home on New Henderson Road in Clinton.

The victim told deputies that she was upstairs and heard noises below.  She thought her husband had returned from work, so she called out his name and went to the stairway.  There, a man armed with a gun confronted her and forced her into a bedroom.  He tied her up and told her he wanted jewelry and money.

An Oak Ridge grandmother could face the death penalty for killing her granddaughter.

In March 2012, Valerie Stenson was charged with first degree murder and aggravated child abuse and neglect, in the death of her 2-year-old granddaughter, Manhattan Inman.  Inman was found dead in her home on Teller Village Lane in Oak Ridge on April 17, 2012.  No details about how she died have been released.

Oak Ridge police boost efforts on overnight patrol

Law enforcement in one East Tennessee community is taking a new approach to an old skill in their efforts to prevent crime.

Oak Ridge Police Chief James Akagi says officers on the overnight shift are boosting patrol efforts to stay ahead of any trouble lurking after dark.

"We want to let people know we're out there. We want to let them know we're interested in what they're doing out in the wee hours of the morning, and we want to let them know we are there if they need us," Chief Akagi said.

A Clinton man is dead after a routine traffic stop turned into a foot chase and scuffle with an Anderson County Sheriff's deputy Saturday morning.

The TBI has identified 30-year-old Randall Kyle Wilcox of Clinton as the man shot in the scuffle.

The TBI says the investigation is open and will be turned over to the DA when it is completed.

An East Tennessee man is accused of raping a child.

A grand jury in Anderson County has indicted 34-year-old Noah Daris Foust on three counts of child rape and three counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.

According to the indictment, Foust is accused of raping a child less than 13 years old, over a two-and-a-half year period.
